I have been meaning to update this shit, but I have a life! I've been going to shows, playing bass, catching bass, eating ass, working, twerking, jerking, studying, and getting high! Unlike the Sorry State shit-workers, I was not comped tix to The ADOLESCENTS show; I had to go sell records to Sorry State, to afford to see Jeff's band, SCARECROW; he treated me honestly and fairly. So if you need some meth or money for a show check out Sorry State in downtown Raleigh; Jeff will treat you well. I will trade shitty POLICE records to see ABSOLUT and DESTRUCT anyday! THis is punk: I will have to go to Sorry State in the next day or two to sell some MISFITS and CRASS so I can see SCARECROW again, with DELETAR!
The new issue of Murder & Mayhem's Punk Zine and compilation is out! Maybe you were one of the first ones to get a copy at the SULTRY show in Chapel Hill last weekend; SULTRY and POLLUTE were great! So were the other bands, but I was disappointed that OVERGROWN THRONE is no longer; they were the best thing from Chapel Hill, since Murder & Mayhem favorite, THE DIRTY POLITICIANS. Keep your eyes out at shows for the new zine: or download the pdf here, but paper is punker! You can PayPal me me and send me $1.50 for a physical zine; also have CD's and Cassettes available for purchase; you can stream the Is Risen album on audiomack here but once again, physical media is punker and has much more shit including some A-sides. Anyway, get ahold of the zine soon, just by looking at it, you become punker. BUT you must be punk to start or else it is just confusing nonsense.

In 1998, on my 21st birthday I saw THE DROPKICK MURPHY'S and went out and got a Guinness label with "Barroom Hero" written across it. 'twas new feelin', I do enjoy oi oi the DM's but like most good bands, their first album was the best Do or Die is fuckin' amazing, I just finished lissenin 2 it, and thought about about how the DMs were kick ass, but the shit they inspired was so overdone in the MySpace days; who remembers Flatfoot 56? They were fun! Silly as shit, but I just started hanging out with this hot-ass chick that I never thought was that hot, but after this show, and this picture of her, I knew I wanted that honey pot at the end of the rainbow.
So enuff thinking; it's saint patrick's day! Start Drinking!

Just like Jesus and THE PIST, Murder and Mayhem has rez-erekted! Yep; Murder & Mayhem Is Risen! How could it not? You obviously loved the first issue of the zine, and surprisingly, you all are tone-deaf because I have heard compliments on the comp! I hope you meant it because in 7 days, 1 week, specifically on March 8th, the next project will drop like bombs over Gaza! The zine is full of punk. I mean poems, stories, games, shit-talking, prison art, and maybe even some pussy! The comp will feature awesome 90’s hardcore from well known assholes: BORN AGAINST and DROPDEAD, to old NCHC: REGURGISTATE and INEPT. Then new shit from the misanthropic, LONECREEP and of kourse, it will be spliced with your favorite Murder & Mayhem bands. Of course, some drunk asshole probably will slip some spoken turd on it as well. If you’re in Raleigh, look for it next weekend. if your punk enuff, start looking in your mailbox around the time you’re blowing up chunks of shamrocks and leprechaun jism. Truth is that Jerk keeps punks out of work. Commercial punk aint punk at all. And please, I'm not making fun of him for being old; CIRCLE JERKS haven't been good since 1984. If they had new material, I would sing a different tune, like I wish the cj's would.
You know who else is commercial punk? NOFX, but at least they were good in 1994; I hope not to see Fat Mike in a club in 20 years singing "linoleum." I would much rather see Fat Mike sing "Six Pack Girls" on Mykel Board's floor while Joanna Angel kicks him in los testiculos, all while, Board writes haikus, and I get high! That'll be punk, maybe we'll have that adventure in July, stay tuned...

Hoy es el 31 de enero de 2024. So I must say happy birthday to my favorite writer, Mykel Board. I just finished reading Even a Daughter Is Better Than Nothing; I was thoroughly entertained and rarely grossed out. Board is also an accomplished haiku-ist, but us old punks know him from "You're Wrong" back when MRR was a thing. If you miss his column, he has a blog that's pretty much the same shit: Mykel's BLOG.
He was the inaugural centerfold for Murder & Mayhem's Zine, but more than that he's a rockstar! I made a playlist of Board doing various things on utube, including singing for ARTLESS. Check it out my playlist for when ur Board
Oi! This is the first blog post so we'll start with a brief intro. Murder & Mayhem started in '98 by Trey of Today and Dave of RegurgistAte. We put out five ep's: THE LOUTS Raleigh's Finest; THE DIRTY POLITICIANS "New Age"; Drunk's Not Dead compilation; PSYCHO 13 "I Bury The Living"; THE LOUTS / TWO-FISTED split.
More recently, I have teamed up with Jared of YAGE Records and made a zine with a compilation featuring those bands plus: INEPT; REGURGISTATE; BLOWNAPART BASTARDS; MOLD, and more.
The next issue and comp is planned for March, so if you are in a DIY band and think it would be cool to be on a 90's style cd-r, cassette comp, please get in touch! Same goes for writers!
